Vin & Yin with Gioconda Parker
Join the one and only Gioconda Parker for a grounding, balanced practice that brings together the steady rhythm of Vinyasa and the quiet depth of Yin.
We’ll begin with a mindful, breath-guided flow to warm the body, awaken circulation, and create space through intentional movement. As the practice unfolds, the pace will gradually soften, transitioning into longer-held seated and supine Yin postures. Supported by props and held for several minutes at a time, these shapes invite the body to release tension while giving the nervous system room to settle.
This class is an opportunity to experience both sides of practice: the energy of moving with the breath and the restoration of slowing down. Clear, compassionate guidance will support you in finding your own balance between effort and ease, movement and stillness, doing and being.

Elemental Transmission:
a Live Musical Journey with Lady Gang
Lady Gang has played at Wild Rice Studio before, accompanying Kileigh Reed through their intentional music and yoga event last year called Presencia. This year, she returns from the Caribbean with a stand alone offering: Elemental Transmission. Elemental Transmission is a live, fully improvised sound journey that tells the story of the human experience from descension to ascension and all of the Earthly life in between.
The journey is built in real time using voice, live looping, flutes, percussion, bass, and acoustic instrumentation. Rather than performing to an audience, the space is designed for participants to lie down, journal, dance, sit, or move freely, entering the music as it unfolds.
Each experience follows a structured arc, moving through phases of grounding, expansion, tension, release, and integration. Rooted in rhythm, atmosphere, and dynamic movement between stillness and intensity, Transmission bridges performance and immersion, offering a shared environment where sound shapes the emotional and physical state of the room. Each set is unique, shaped in real time by the energy of the space and the people within it.
Lady Gang is only in Texas for a brief time before returning for the winter to Baja, Mexico. This is her only performance of Elemental Transmission while she is here.
